The Mystery of the Bimini Road

    The picture above shows a picture of Bimini Road/ Bimini Wall (Atlantis). This picture shows an underwater rock formation found near North Bimini Island in the Bahamas. It has a very unusual arrangement of stones, therefore some believe it to be part of the lost city of Atlantis (first spoken by Plato). As said in Brewer’s Dictionary of Phrase and Fable, published by Susie Dent, Bimini is a rock pattern that was discovered off the coast of the Bahamas in 1968 that led to the discovery of a road built on the site of the lost island. The lost island of Atlantis was discovered was first mentioned by Greek Philosopher Plato according to Chambers Dictionary of the Unexplained.
   
    In the source from LexisNexis it says that many believe Bimini is a formation of underwater stones that could lead to the Lost City of Atlantis. Tim McDonald reports about 400m off Paradise Point, where the thin leaves of Australian pines wave in the south-easterly trade winds, lies an ancient, underwater arrangement of stones that has baffled natives, mystics and scientists for generations.  Decades of both weird and real science have only served to intensify the mystery.  They call it the Bimini Road and some say it leads to the lost continent of Atlantis. Others say it's simply a bunch of rocks. Scientist who believe rock formations and artifacts, both in the Bahamas and in other parts of the world, point to civilizations more ancient than presently believed are wary of using the actual word, “Atlantis”.

    A source from the Sunday News, says how Bimini is a “gem”. It is called the “gem” because of the old-fashioned Bahamas of yesteryear and the eccentric quirkiness of places like Key West. Bimini is known to be very colorful with a scandalous past. Even though Bimini has its perks, it is a very beautiful island 50 miles near the coast of Miami.

There are many haunted place in the world, the Island of Dolls in Mexico is one of these mysterious places. In Xochimilco, Mexico on the south of Mexico City on the canal there is a small island located on south. The small creepy island is actual hidden. The island tells a story of a little girl sprits wondering through the island. The island is consider haunted with her bad spirit. Legend has it a little girl was found drown near the island many years ago. No one actually know how the little girl died. A man named don Julian Santana Barrera found the little girl floating on the canal near the island. It is said that he witnesses her drown, as well. In the same spot he found the little girl he also found a doll. He saw the doll and picked up and put it on one of the trees on the island. The doll rest on the tree to please the soul of the little girl and to protect him for her bad spirit. The island of dolls is now a famous tourist attraction in Mexico City. “Over the years, La Isla de lasMunecas has truly become one of the most famous chinampas of Xochimilco based purely on its grim reputation and bizarre history( Swancer).”

The island water is shallow, and you can see the dark shadow of the trees in the water. The island is shaped like a rectangle and had mud all around the gloomy atmosphere. It is said that the little girl spirits lives there. Barrera’s believed that the dolls would come to life at night and kill animals. The evil spirit told Barrera to keep adding dolls on the trees. Barrera would sale vegetables be grew to pa for the dolls. The ghost of the little girl drove Berrera’s nearly insane, he was found dead on the canal after he could not afford the dolls anymore. Tourist that spend the night have said to her voice from the dolls on the trees. “It was said that the dolls would come to life at night and roam the islands brutally killing animals, and that if one listened carefully the gibbering whispers and giggling of dolls could be hears as they went about their grim work( Swnacer).” Many people have visit and had there own experience. Tourist says they can hear a little girls voice at night.

Dinosaurs on Prehistoric Island

 Dinosaurs were last seen on earth 65 million years ago. Or did they? In Papua, New Guinea an eyewitness saw a large creature that looked like dinosaur with a reptile tail and with a dog like head. Papua is a small village on a volcanic island. The village is somewhat prehistoric, but this village is also superstitious. On many counts the villagers have stated that they saw the creature or that it was coming after them so they couldn’t get a good look at them. Villagers and police have searched for this dinosaur like creature, but have had no luck finding it and taking a picture to prove it. Villagers also of this island go into the jungle searching for it to prove that they are not crazy. A newspaper from Sydney, Australia said that it could be a cryptic Iguanodon. Police stated in this newspaper that they went into the sacred jungle and found no results of a dinosaur living there. Even though the newspaper had an eyewitness there was nothing for them to do, but an iguanodon is a dinosaur that had a hard, conical spike on each thumb. 

 Even though Papua only had one eyewitness give a statement it is said that this creature is still roaming the island and the mayor thinks it would be a good tourist attraction. The Independent newspaper of Papua, New Guinea reported that a "dinosaur-like reptile" was seen on two occasions in the Lake Murray area, in Western Province (Dinosaurs..). This newspaper is from 1999 and no one in particular was willing to state exactly what the dinosaur looked like other than it was reptile like. This dinosaur is known for showing up occasionally only for the villagers. People all over the world come to Papua, New Guinea searching for this creature. Researchers are mostly the only group that is willing to go to the “sacred” island in search for the creature. Sometimes if the villagers allow them to search the Mayor of the small village will show them the bones that were found. The villagers are hoping someday that they iguanodon will be proven still alive. Also, the mayor is hoping to prove that the iguanodon is still alive so that they can get more attractions to this prehistoric island. It still has not been proven that this dinosaur does not roam this island, but it has not been proven that the dinosaur is even alive to this day.
